Ethics Series
SAICA annually dedicates the month of October to Ethics, due to Global Ethics day being celebrated in the same month.
Ethics is a foundational competency for all members of the profession and a cornerstone of our brand. All SAICA members are therefore required to annually provide evidence of regular reflections on ethics values and attitudes as part of their CPD compliance. In order to support our members in this regular practical reflection, SAICA will be hosting a series of monthly ethics webinars, where thought provoking conversations will compel members to reflect on personal, business and professional ethics as they relate to their real-world environment.
Starting February 2022, these monthly ethics thought leadership sessions will replace the October series (which was hosted in 2020 and 2021), as SAICA wants to encourage members to not only focus on ethics in one month, but rather reflect on ethics continuously throughout the year in regular intervals.
The October 2021 edition of the ASA magazine, contained a series of Ethics articles and SAICA also hosted a series of webinar broadcasts, all addressing different aspects of Ethics in the Accounting Profession.
To encourage the reflection and also guide them in “how to reflect”, our complimentary Ethics Series in October will have an overall theme of “Reflections”.
