Nicholas Forshaw – VAT IT

Luke Tollman and Nicholas Forshaw are third-year trainees at VAT IT and the co-founders of Apti. Apti (www.aptihire.com) is a free tool built by Luke and Nicholas which is made available to accounting students to assist them in finding the training office they are most suited to and that’s most aligned to their passions, interest, and natural apti(tude) for types of work. They are ‘for trainees, by trainees’ and aim to help students live up to their slogan – ‘Never Waste Talent’. Apti is now 18 months old and has over 2 000 students on the platform across the SAICA, CIMA and SAIT spaces. Apti hopes to contribute to the growth of SAICA members by placing them in roles where their full potential can be realised. The belief is this will make them happier and more successful in their day-to-day role, thus promoting the value of the CA(SA) profession.
