Ahmed Junaid Sheik Ismail is a CA(SA) with comprehensive audit and accounting experience across South African, American, and European markets. His expertise in IFRS and US GAAP underpins his commitment to advancing accounting practices through innovation and technology. Ahmed is dedicated to lifelong learning and empowering others, sharing knowledge and skills openly while also valuing the insights of those he interacts with. Currently, Ahmed serves as an Engagement Manager at Makosi, where he leads audit projects and manages client relationships to ensure efficient and seamless service delivery. Previously, he held the position of Senior Audit Consultant, where he worked with PwC U.S. over three busy seasons, navigating complex audits in industries like manufacturing and technology. His strong background in audit project management and financial reporting has been pivotal in his roles, where he has also driven automation initiatives to improve audit efficiency and quality. Among Ahmed's achievements are his contributions as an early member of Makosi’s automation team, certification as a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer, and consistently high client ratings during U.S. busy seasons from 2022 to 2024. Academically, he has achieved distinctions across several bachelor’s and postgraduate modules, particularly at the CTA level in Accounting (IFRS), Management Accounting, and Taxation, earning the UNISA honours bursary for multiple years. He also passed both SAICA qualifying exams on his first attempt. Promoted to Engagement Manager in 2024, Ahmed continues to lead with a dedication to excellence, quality, and innovation in audit and accounting.
