Prof Riaan Rudman CA(SA)

Prof Riaan Rudman, Divisional head: Auditing at Stellenbosch University and recently re-elected Southern Region Council President, is a leader in both academia and the accountancy profession. Besides being a full time academic, he founded the Stellenbosch Thuthuka programme and other student support initiatives for at-risk students. An accomplished author and speaker, Prof. Rudman has published extensively on governance of advanced technologies and auditing education. His contributions have earned him multiple local and international awards across teaching, research, and social impact, making him a recognised figure in the advancement of accountancy education and professional development. He plays an active role on several committees in the profession.
