Members in business and the public interest: ethics and professional integrity
Summary
The aim of the session is to discuss the current ethics challenges faced by members in business in the context of the overarching theme of leaders from all walks of life taking responsibility for ethics wherever they are functioning. We are driving the importance of the ethics agenda within SAICA and as the global profession in order to restore the public’s trust in the profession. It is hoped that after listening to the contribution of all speakers that the audience would take up their responsibility as leaders – regardless of their title – to create an ethical culture in the environment in which they function. It is SAICA’s wish that the audience would feel compelled to partner with SAICA to “Be the change you want to see” by engaging in conversations focusing on the complex concept of ethics and also to start their own conversations around this important topic.
