- 16 March 2022 – Customs & Excise Act, 1964: The tariff amendment notice, scheduled for publication in the Government Gazette, relates to the amendments to –

- 16 March 2022 – Customs Weekly List of Unentered Goods
- 16 March 2022 -The Commissioner of SARS, Edward Kieswetter, will launch a ground-breaking initiative for taxpayers. He will launch a volume of tax terminology in 10 official languages – with the exception of English. It is hoped that the volume will assist taxpayers to understand the tax environment in their mother-tongue. The virtual event will start at 9:00 on Wednesday 16 March 2022. - 14 March 2022 – The latest e@syFile version was released on Friday, 11 March 2022. The changes include an adjustment to manual capture validation where commas are present in demographics fields to align with import validation and the SARS PAYE BRS, an adjustment to EMP501 submission file structure to align Tax Directive field(s) with the SARS PAYE BRS and an adjustment to validation for source code 7007 in respect of tax years 2015, 2016, 2017 to align with the SARS PAYE BRS. SARS will introduce enhancements to the Tax Directives process as indicated in the IBIR-006 Tax Directives Interface Specification Version 6.303. The trade testing dates are planned for 22 March 2022 – 14 April 2022. This is to prepare for the implementation of the software during the first quarter of the 2022/23 financial year with the changes officially being implemented on 22 April 2022.
