SAICA CEO appointed to the IFAC Board
SAICA's CEO, Patricia Stock, has been appointed to the Board of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). This is a significant milestone for SAICA and a testament to Stock’s leadership and expertise.
IFAC is the global organisation for the accountancy profession, dedicated to serving the public interest by strengthening the profession and contributing to the development of strong international economies. IFAC sets high professional standards, provides resources and tools to enable professional accountants and firms to meet those standards, and monitors quality through a robust inspection program.
Vincent Motholo, SAICA's Board Chairman, said: "The IFAC Board received several nominations from IFAC member bodies for board positions, as it is a competitive process. The SAICA Board nominated Ms. Stock and we are therefore proud that her nomination was unanimously supported by the IFAC Nominating Committee and subsequently approved by Council.
Her appointment to the IFAC Board underscores SAICA's global standing and influence. It provides us with a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of global accounting standards and practices, and to shape the future of the profession."
Milton Segal, SAICA’s Executive Director: Standards, will serve and support Stock as her Technical Advisor. This further strengthens SAICA’s advocacy initiatives and elevates our technical excellence.
"On behalf of the SAICA Board, I extend our warmest congratulations to Patricia on this well-deserved appointment. We are confident that she will continue to represent SAICA with distinction and contribute significantly to the work of IFAC," Motholo concluded.
