Fathima is a CA(SA) and a Tax and Derivative Manager at RCL Foods Ltd. She is responsible for tax compliance, corporate and VAT technical queries and involved with acquisitions and disposals. Prior to joining RCL Foods Ltd Fathima lectured at UKZN, specialising in Taxation, as part of the CTA programme. During her time at UKZN she published tax articles and provided additional taxation support to the SAICA Thuthuka Bursary students. After leaving UKZN to pursue a career in corporate taxation she was an external examiner for UKZN for many years. Fathima has an absolute passion for taxation and more specifically making it more understandable and relatable. This is reflected in the various tax training seminars she has facilitated at RCL Foods to upskill employees at various levels. Fathima is also a member of the Saica Eastern Region Tax Committee.
